ibook

I am going to blog about my ibook I have done most the work about my ibook in my sketchbook because i find it easier to plan out how i want it to look like from sketch rather than blogging but now i can post scans of my sketching and screen shots to how the pages came out.

So on my ibook i wanted the audience to be able to differentiate between the sections by the colour of the background, so each section has a different colour. but when i pitched this to the class some mentioned it wasn't that obvious so i got an idea from someone else's pitch i will have in the top corner the names of the chapters and when the viewer is on a specific page the name will change colour. This will make it easier for the audience to know where they are throughout.

all my chapters are in the same order as the navigation on my website, i think this makes the connection between the two stronger.

chapter 1 amazon river 

So in chapter one its all about the amazon river, theres a lot of information that goes into this chapter so i wanted to end it with a fun interactive game, the word search which has words that have been spoken about throughout.

chapter 2 Plants 

 The plants chapter has a background with pink, i really like this because its resembles a summer, flower colour. on the first page i have two interactive elements there is a slide show of images that you can push with your finger and next to that on the left there is a scroll bar of text which makes it more fun for the reader. I decided to place the sketch pad on the second page this is because i think flowers would be the funnest thing for the audience to draw.

chapter 3 Climate 

My climate page is bright and yellow i think this suites the page really well as climate is to do with sun and weather. The white scrap page makes the page a bit more exciting but its pretty much the same as my website, theres nothing really too it.. so I'm going to try and find a video which can explain climate better than i can put into words

chapter 4 amazon river 

My Wild Life chapter is my favourite theres so much too the pages and it makes it more exciting, the first page has a scroll of images of the animals which I am going to talk about throughout the chapter with an introduction in the middle. 

The first page is about jaguars when you click on the image of the jaguar it comes up with a fun fact, then next to the image is another scroll text, i think continuously using this throughout my page makes the audience know to try and scroll. 

the third page is about toucans which has information about and with a fun game underneath then the second one is about giant turtle's i am going to place an image underneath this with another fun fact like the jaguar. 

i need to add another page for the pink dolphin and piranhas it will be the same as the page i have just spoken about about but with a different game maybe so its not all the same as that would get boring for the reader. 

Last Page, gallery of images.  

on my final page i have a gallery of images so when you click on the image it comes up with what that image is called and a fun fact to go along with it. I like the idea of having a gallery at the end because it ends off the book well.
