Creating Game Vectors #3

This would be the first app within my game, known as the remembering game but im going to call it match up. 

I started off by creating the playing cards in illustrator this was really simple just a case of the drawing out the rounded rectangle though i made the corners of the cards a little rounder because i wanted them to look realistic, On normal playing cards there is usually four images in each corner so I placed the bulmers logo in each corner then a picture of the bulmers bottle in the middle.

 I put three different bottles so then the user would have to match them up, i think the playing cards came out really well.

 After i created the cards i did notice that the logo i had used in each corner of the cards has 'original' underneath which i don't really like because they aren't all original, so i might go back and change the logo with one which doesn't have original, this wont take long. 

The image below is again a playing card but supposed to be the back of the card, with the bulmers logo big in the middle, i think this gives it a really good effect and looks like a general bulmers playing card pack. 

I wanted the cards to be set out in a table but i thought this was pretty boring so instead i drew with the pen tool some leaves which go around the table, I think it made it more fun and at the same time matched the bulmers art style.

After andrew had a look at it he said it would look better by adding a gradient, and I agree it brings it to life a bit more, also suggested to take away the black boarder line because it wasnt really needed. 

once i had added the cards in i thought it looked pretty good the only annoying thing was that some of the leaves was covering the cards slightly.  

 The two images above and below are what the final piece looks like with the background, this backgorund is a little different to the other ones because it also has a gradient over it to enhance the users eyes to the middle where the game is and i really do like the effect it gives, im going to play 

around with the other backgrounds to see if it works well on all of them. 

Though I like how the final pieces look im a little unsure still so i created something different.

The images below are the playing cards with the same background expect they're not surrounded by leaves they're on a wood table with a bottle cap next to it, its supposed to look like its on a bar inside a pub, I will ask around and see which people prefer then choose my final one.
