evaluation

I thought i would find this project easier than the other projects i had done before because i am used to working on final cut pro, i did find final cut pro easy to use but in actual fact i found the project itself harder because the footage we had to come up with had to be none literal to the speech, so instead i came up with footage which had meanings to it that symbolis the speech in different ways for example the footage shot inside a car would represent going on a journey, the lanterns would represent freedom, and the weather in particular because i chose to shoot my footage when it wasn't very sunny or raining just very cloudy, this would represent how things in their time wasn't amazing but they're slowly but surely getting better.

I really like how i start off with original footage of MLK and end with lanterns, the lanterns at the end show how they're free and will stay that way.

If i had more time to complete my movie i would have made it 2 minutes long and gotten more footage to cover that, also i would have added more kinetic text, i done some in Apple Motion and some just on final cut pro.

the music i used was an instrumental by One Republic called secrets I think its slow, moving and powerful in its own way and doesn't over power the speech. i like how the music stays pretty much the same rhythm throughout the movie it makes the audience concentrate more on the speech.

In conclusion i think my movie met the brief and works well as a finished piece.
