In this assignment I am going to produce a piece of interactive documentary narrative using a wide range of media, delivered as an ibook for the ipad, and as a responsive website that will display on desktop, tablet and smartphone devices.
I will produce material for a new series of publications called ''wonders of nature''. it is to be used as an educational resource for L3 learners in schools and colleges within the UK.
As these products are to be used as educational resources, all content must be factually correct.
Researching and sourcing the content and assets for my project will be an extremely time consuming process, so I will need to make good time management choices and organise. To end I will create an 'Asset Register' where I will list all of my resources and include a fully referenced link to their source.
Although all the products will be part of a 'series' there will be no overreaching 'theme'. I will develop
my own visual approach that will be consistent across my own products.
My aim is to bring one category of the wonders of nature series, to life using mixed media. My category should be interpreted in a wide range of ways; it could be a general overview of the given subject or a detailed focus on one particular example. Whatever approach it must be informative, visually exciting and engaging for the user through content and imaginative use of interactivity.
Part of the challenge of this brief is to find an interesting and engaging angle.
