This is my final propaganda poster on Twitter, I am pleased with what I have created and I think it meets the brief, everything on my poster is there for a reason.
When starting this project i had no idea what Propaganda actually was, I went away and researched into what it was and how it was used. I began to realise that artists used propaganda to persuade or manipulate the general public for or against a cause, when i knew this information it started to give me instant ideas of what i could do in order to promote an aspect of twitter.
When I chose to do the 'Women of Britain, come into the factories' I could instantly see my slogan and my idea forming. Though the one thing i mainly wanted to change about the original poster was the lady, I wanted her to look young and fresh for the modern day audience also it would make more sense considering it was to promote twitter, which is mainly supported by teenagers.
I am happy that i added smart phones into her hands and iconic places in the background as this supports the text and the main concept of the poster, which is how you can follow and use the twitter app anywhere in the world. I personally think adding the wifi logo on top of big ben was a good idea as it shows the audience that you can use wifi hot spots to accesses the Twitter.
If i had more time to do my poster I would not add anything, i think the poster says all it needs to and adding anymore would make it to packed and would not be in support of the visual langauge. Though i would add more texture with the water colours and paint brushes because adding the texture to the sky with the brush tools really gave my poster that texture it needed and I think bought it to life a bit.
In Conclusion, I am happy with my overall poster, I think my propaganda poster meets the brief and I learnt a lot on Adobe Illustrator as i have never used the programme before, i found it simple to use and a good software for the project.
